About the role

ARRCS are currently sourcing a qualified Clinical Nurse Manager (RN) to lead the clinical team at our Nganampa Ngura Mutitjulu-nya Flexible Aged Care Facility located in the remote community of Mutitjulu (Uluru) Northern Territory. This busy and rewarding role is offered on a FIFO, permanent, full-time basis. This role attracts an hourly rate of Registered Nurse Level 3 - $55.11 - $55.37 / hour gross (Dependent on prior experience). In addition, you receive fully furnished, share accommodation, a $20,000 bonus for your first 12 months of employment and, $5,000 travel allowance annually.

The role of Clinical Nurse Manager will see over overseeing the clinical delivery of care to our residents at our Nganampa Ngura Mutitjulu-nya Flexible Aged Care Facility. Reporting to the Residential Aged Care Manager, you will provide support on mentoring, training, performance requirements, care plan management and medication management. You will also complete, when required with RN shifts to support operational needs.

This exciting role would suit a person who is very hands on. They are comfortable leading a team of Registered Nurses and Personal Care Workers and are comfortable to ‘step up’ when the RACM is away or on leave. You will understand the complexities of working in a remote community in Central Australia and be comfortable will be comfortable working nursing tasks, supporting with ad hoc requirements such as feeding and cleaning when required. You will enjoy working in a team that is like a family and providing care to the elderly residents who call our facility home.

Nganampa Ngura Mutitjulu-nya Flexible Aged Care facility is in Mutitjulu, the heart of Uluru and hosts 19 residents. Mutitjulu is located a 20-minute drive from Yulara. Yulara is the resort town and has a range of facilities including restaurants, a supermarket, a bank, post office and cafes.





Staff accommodation is provided in Yulara resort and there is transport available to and from the centre.

Skills and experience

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Appropriate working rights for Australia – Visa sponsorship is NOT available.
- Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse ideally within the Aged Care industry.
- Previous experience in leading, coaching or mentoring other Healthcare staff.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory legislation.
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and ability to coach frontline staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business improvement.
- Strong knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety.
