Love working outdoors and seeing the difference your work makes? We’re looking for a Gardener to join our Racing team in a permanent role at Mornington Racecourse.

You’ll play a hands-on role in making Mornington Racecourse look incredible. From lush lawns and colourful garden beds to polished public spaces, you’ll help create a venue that’s ready to impress on race days, event days and every day in between.

In The Saddle

- Keep our gardens, lawns, hedges and landscaped spaces looking race-day ready.
- Get stuck into planting, pruning, mulching, weeding, fertilising and irrigation checks.
- Bring key areas to life ahead of race days and events, then help the grounds bounce back afterwards.
- Keep an eye on turf health and jump on irrigation faults, hazards or maintenance issues.
- Use ride-on mowers, brush cutters, blowers and hand tools safely and confidently.
- Support seasonal planting and landscape projects that make a visible impact across the racecourse.





Your Track Record

- Hands-on experience in gardening, landscaping, grounds maintenance or turf care.
- A Certificate II or III in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens or a similar field is highly regarded.
- Experience at a large public venue, sporting ground or racecourse is also a bonus.
- Confident using horticultural machinery and irrigation systems.
- A sharp eye for detail and plenty of pride in how your work looks.
- The fitness to enjoy an active, outdoor role in all kinds of weather.
- A reliable, proactive and versatile approach, including availability for early mornings and race days when needed.
- The confidence to work independently and the team spirit to jump in when it counts.
