Lead Boarding Supervisor - Girls Boarding

- Responsibilities include:

- Lead the girls’ boarding house for the duration of the shift and act as the first point of contact for staff, students, families and College leadership

- Oversee shift operations and hold primary responsibility for the welfare, safety and supervision of students in residence

- Ensure daily routines are delivered smoothly and the residential workplace remains safe, orderly and supportive of independence and life‑skills development

- Provide consistent pastoral care and wellbeing support to students throughout the shift

- Support students in a culturally respectful environment, with an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives

- Report directly to the Head of Boarding

- Located in beautiful Far North Queensland – metropolitan area

- On-site accommodation available

School Profile

SchoolHouse is working in partnership with co-educational day and boarding Prep-Year 12 school. This school is open to all students but particularly caters to the learning, cultural, social and physical needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. This college offers the Australian Curriculum from Prep to Year 12, with students in Year 10 able to choose Vocational Education and Training options across the many Certificate I, II and III courses offered at the College. This school is seeking committed boarding and youth‑work professionals who can support students in a structured, caring residential environment.

Employment Requirements

- Blue Card (Working With Children Check) or ability to obtain

- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to complete prior to commencement)

- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

- Ability to lead a team and make sound decisions during a shift

- Calm, confident presence when supporting adolescent girls

- Organised, reliable and able to maintain structure and routine

- Experience in residential care, youth work or boarding (highly regarded)

- Right to work in Australia
