The Peakhurst is a well-established premium bar and bistro located in Peakhurst, New South Wales. Renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, the venue offers a diverse range of dining options, ice-cold beverages, live sporting entertainment, and versatile function spaces suitable for both private and corporate events.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team and contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Plan and develop menus, including daily specials, in collaboration with the Head Chef and management team.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in accordance with HACCP and WHS regulations.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage portion control to minimise waste and ensure cost efficiency.
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all meals served to guests.
- Contribute creatively to seasonal menu planning and function catering.

Skills and Experience




- Certificate IV/Diploma in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role within a busy hotel or restaurant kitchen.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to perform under pressure.
- A genuine passion for food, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.
- Flexibility to work across weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
