Role Description

The Senior Occupational Therapist role is a full-time, on-site position based in North Parramatta, NSW. This role involves providing advanced occupational therapy assessment and intervention for children, adults and families across clinic, home, school and community environments. The Senior Occupational Therapist will develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, set functional goals, and collaborate closely with clients, families, carers and other health professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising and mentoring junior therapists, contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions, maintaining accurate clinical documentation,



and supporting service development and quality improvement initiatives. The role also involves liaising with NDIS and other funding bodies, participating in professional development activities, and promoting best practice in occupational therapy within the team.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Therapy practice, including assessment, intervention planning and functional rehabilitation.
- Foundational understanding of Medicine and Rehabilitation principles relevant to allied health and disability support.
- Strong Communication skills, including explicit clinical documentation and effective collaboration with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including working with children and young people in clinic, school and community settings.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the appropriate professional body.
- Experience in NDIS or disability services, with an understanding of person-centered and goal-directed practice.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, evidence-based practice and culturally safe, inclusive care for people from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience supervising or mentoring other clinicians is highly desirable.
