Hextol Painting and Maintenance is seeking an experienced full-time Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting and finishing a range of internal and external surfaces across residential and commercial projects.

Due to the ongoing needs of our business, we are looking for an experienced Painter with strong attention to detail, a high standard of workmanship and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What you will do:

- Prepare walls, ceilings, timber, metal and other surfaces prior to painting.
- Clean, sand, scrape and smooth surfaces to ensure they are ready for painting and finishing.
- Fill cracks, holes and damaged areas using appropriate fillers and compounds.
- Apply primers, sealers and undercoats as required.
- Mix and match paints to achieve the required colours and finishes.
- Apply paint, varnish, stains and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Apply decorative, protective and waterproof coatings where required.
- Prepare and protect work areas using drop sheets, masking and other appropriate methods.
- Erect and use ladders, scaffolding and other access equipment safely where required.
- Maintain painting tools,



spray equipment and other relevant equipment in good working condition.
- Inspect completed work and carry out touch-ups or repairs where required.
- Liaise with supervisors, clients and other tradespeople regarding work requirements, materials and project timeframes.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite and comply with all relevant workplace health and safety requirements.
- Estimate and organise materials required for painting and finishing work.
- Complete work to the required quality standards and within agreed project deadlines.

We are looking for someone who is able to join us on a permanent and full-time basis. This is not a trainee position, so please only apply if you have at least 3 years of full-time relevant experience as a Painter, particularly where you do not hold a relevant Certificate III qualification or equivalent.

Applicants should have strong practical painting skills, good knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques, and the ability to work safely and efficiently across a range of painting projects.

We are offering a market-competitive salary of $79,423 - $83,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
