Muswellbrook & District Workers Club is a welcoming, community-focused venue located in the heart of the Upper Hunter. Its popular Odeum dining area offers quality club and bistro-style meals in a relaxed environment, catering to local members, families, visitors, functions and special events.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our professional team in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
Major duties

- Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage an assigned kitchen section efficiently during preparation and service.
- Ensure meals are delivered promptly and consistently during busy service periods.
- Monitor food quality, taste, portion sizes and presentation.
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with menu planning, daily specials and new dishes.
- Prepare ingredients and organise mise en place before service.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, stock rotation and inventory control.
- Minimise food wastage and support effective food-cost control.
- Train and support junior chefs, cooks and kitchen attendants.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workstation.
- Follow food safety,



hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Assist with catering for functions, events and large group bookings.

About you
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar professional cooking role.
- Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience working in a busy pub, club, hotel or bistro kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to remain organised and maintain quality under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine passion for hospitality.
- Availability to work a adaptable roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
