About the role

Lead a thriving nursery operation and help shape Ipswich's natural setting.

Council is seeking an experienced Nursery Supervisor to lead and coordinate our plant production program supporting community and environmental benefits.

If you enjoy working outdoors, have leadership experience, previous management of a nursery operation and want to make little things grow, this is the role for you. Your responsibilities will include:

- Implement and coordinate plant production and nursery maintenance programs.
- Oversee the successful operation of the popular free plant program.
- Leadership of a dedicated nursery team.
- Maintain irrigation systems, propagation sheds and facilities within the nursery.
- Ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable nursery operations.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Horticulture Diploma Nursery Level 5 or equivalent experience, ideally industry experience in a production nursery.
- Basic computer skills.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence, LR licence desirable.
- A.C.D.C Licence (Current Qld) herbicide.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
