We are recruiting for a Speech Pathologist – Team Leader / Clinical lead responsible for providing effective Speech Pathology team leadership while supporting strong clinical practice, supervision, service delivery quality and consistency across the organisation. This is an exciting role to take on an excellent team, within an organisation who provide services in the NDIS area. The team work with both children and adults, including the elderly.
About the role:
- Work from home with one day per week (Monday) in the office – office located in South Sydney.
- Manage a team of 7 Speech Pathologists
- Salary from $120-130k plus super – dependent on experience
- Still do clinical work – you would have ~15-20 participants who you would work with.
- Full Time, Permanent role
About the Organisation:
This organisation is a well-established larger provider of services within the NDIS and Aged Care sector. They have a large multidisciplinary team and there would be the opportunity to work alongside Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Physio’s and other health professionals
Duties:
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to staff across the allocated SP team and broader service.
- Review clinical documentation, including notes, assessments, reports, support plans and risk assessments, to ensure quality practice.
- Identify strengths, good practice and areas for improvement within clinical practice and service delivery.
- Coach and provide constructive feedback to staff to strengthen capability, confidence and professional practice.
- Promote consistent application of clinical frameworks, professional standards and PRS expectations.
- Monitor clinical governance and compliance, identifying documentation gaps, inconsistencies, risks and areas requiring additional support.
- Work collaboratively with Team Leaders and Clinical Leads to address practice issues, clinical risks and areas of concern.
- Identify and support training and professional development needs, including additional guidance, resources and coaching.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing, implementing and monitoring clinical practice and service quality improvements.
- Promote consistency across leadership and teams, sharing trends and successful approaches while ensuring formal performance management remains with the relevant Team Leader or Clinical Lead.
Requirements:
- It is essential to be a fully registered Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience in either a senior or managerial role, providing support and guidance to other Speech Pathologists
