Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Principal Financial Accountant to provide leadership and direction across complex financial accounting operations, analysis, financial management strategies and technical advisory services.

This senior position will lead key financial accounting activities, including financial ledgers and month-end processes, annual financial statements, asset accounting, financial reporting and the development of robust financial management practices and controls.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Lead financial ledger operations, with a particular focus on end-of-month accounting activities.
- Deliver high-quality financial accounting advice and services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate associated activities and audit requirements.
- Ensure non-current assets are appropriately recognised and maintained within asset registers and the general ledger.
- Deliver asset accounting activities including stocktakes, valuations, impairment assessments and useful life reviews.
- Analyse financial data and performance and provide formal and ad-hoc reporting to senior management.
- Develop and implement financial management strategies, policies, procedures and internal control frameworks.




- Lead financial management projects and drive improvements in accounting practices and service delivery.
- Lead and develop resources responsible for delivering effective financial accounting services.

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

- Significant senior-level experience delivering financial management and financial accounting services.
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary financial management and accounting practices.
- Strong experience developing and implementing financial management processes, systems and controls.
- High-level analytical and conceptual capability within complex financial environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including successfully managing change and building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of significant financial reports and provision of senior-level advice.

A degree in Accountancy or Commerce and CPA or CA qualification, or agreed equivalent, is desirable.
