Full-Time Fixed-Term Contract to September 2027

In 2027, the world’s best netball nations will come together in Sydney for the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027, taking place from 25 August to 5 September 2027. As Netball Australia celebrates its centenary year, the World Cup represents much more than 12 days of world-class competition. It is an opportunity to create an unforgettable experience for athletes, fans and communities, grow the game and showcase Sydney and Australia on the global stage.

We are building the team that will make it happen, and we are now looking for an experienced Accreditation Manager to lead the planning and delivery of our tournament-wide accreditation program.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Venue Operations, you will take ownership of the accreditation program from planning and system development through to operational readiness and tournament delivery. You will work across a diverse range of client groups, including athletes and team officials, workforce and volunteers, contractors, media and broadcast, partners, VIPs and other tournament stakeholders.

Your challenge will be to ensure the right people have the right access, at the right time, supported by an accreditation experience that is secure, accurate, efficient and seamless.

You will lead the development and delivery of the accreditation program, including:

Accreditation systems, data and credentials

- Manage the selection, configuration and operation of the tournament accreditation system.
- Establish efficient processes for accreditation applications, approvals, data validation and credential production.
- Oversee the secure collection and management of accreditation data across tournament client groups.
- Coordinate credential design, production, distribution, replacement and issue resolution.

Access planning and client groups

- Develop accreditation policies, access privileges, zoning and approval processes.
- Work with functional areas to understand workforce and stakeholder access requirements.
- Be the key accreditation contact for client groups including World Netball, participating teams, workforce, media, broadcast, contractors, partners and VIPs.
- Provide clear timelines, templates, instructions and support to ensure accurate and timely accreditation submissions.

Operational readiness





- Develop the Accreditation Operations Plan and associated procedures.
- Plan venue accreditation centres and tournament-time accreditation services.
- Establish service levels, workflows, escalation pathways and contingency processes.
- Lead system testing, scenario planning and end-to-end operational rehearsals.
- Work closely with Venue Operations, Security, Technology, Workforce and Transport to integrate accreditation and access into venue operations.

Tournament delivery

- Lead accreditation operations during the tournament.
- Support timely decision-making and resolution of accreditation and access issues.
- Coordinate closely with security and venue teams.
- Monitor program risks, dependencies and operational issues and implement appropriate mitigations.

Workforce and volunteers

- Support recruitment and selection of the tournament-time accreditation workforce and volunteers.
- Assist with onboarding, training, briefing and rostering.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and operational direction during the tournament.
- Create clear communication and escalation pathways for the accreditation team.
- Support the performance and wellbeing of staff and volunteers throughout tournament delivery.

About you

We are looking for someone who enjoys the detail but can also see the bigger operational picture.

You’ll ideally bring:

- 5+ years’ experience in accreditation, access management, venue operations, major event operations or a closely related area.
- Experience working within major sporting, cultural, entertainment or complex multi-stakeholder events.
- Strong knowledge of accreditation principles, including zoning, access privileges, credential production, access control and client group management.
- Experience working with accreditation, workforce, CRM, registration, database or event management systems.
- Strong understanding of data integrity, privacy and information security.
- Proven experience in operational planning and event readiness.




- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management, organisation and problem-solving capability.
- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions when working within a fast-paced, time-critical event environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coordinating staff, contractors or volunteers in a major event environment will be highly regarded.

This isn’t simply an accreditation role. You will play an key part in creating the operational foundations that allows athletes, officials, workforce members and tournament stakeholders to move safely and seamlessly through a world-class international sporting event.

This is a full-time role, based at Sydney Olympic Park, on a fixed-term basis through to September 2027. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of LOC HQ and traditional office hours may be required from time to time.
