We're looking for a WHS and Return to Work Coordinator to join our existing WHS team. This is a newly created role supporting a group of established South Australian commercial and residential construction businesses.

It's a hands-on role split between safety and injury management. You'll be out on site, in offices and at operational facilities, working with project teams, supervisors, workers and contractors to put practical safety in place. You'll also manage return to work, so you can see an injured worker's recovery through from start to finish.

Where you might be coming from
We're open to people from different backgrounds, including:

- WHS professionals who want variety and a real say in how things run
- workers compensation claims or case managers who want to move to the employer side, working with one group instead of a large caseload
- experienced tradespeople or site leaders who have moved into safety, or want to, and understand how work is actually done on site

You don't need to be strong in everything on day one. We'll help you build the areas that are newer to you.

The role

- conducting site and workplace inspections and supporting practical risk management
- providing day-to-day WHS advice to managers, project teams and workers
- coordinating injury management, suitable duties and return to work plans
- liaising with injured workers, managers, treating doctors, allied health providers and the claims agent
- developing and reviewing SWMS, risk assessments and WHS documentation
- supporting incident investigations and corrective actions




- contractor onboarding and compliance
- coordinating inductions, toolbox talks and training
- maintaining WHS and RTW systems, registers and records

About you

- a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (completed or underway), or South Australian RTW Coordinator accreditation, or solid experience in claims or injury management
- experience in WHS, construction or trades, or workers compensation
- confidence working directly with site teams, managers, medical providers and contractors
- good communication, organisational and computer skills
- a current driver's licence and your own car

Experience in construction or manufacturing is a plus.
