About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Field Service Technician to join a leading organisation in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining commercial electrical equipment and catering appliances at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in commercial equipment and machinery.

- Carry out electrical testing, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.

- Work with commercial catering equipment, appliances and electrical systems.

- Identify faults and determine appropriate repair solutions independently.

- Attend customer sites and provide professional field service.

- Manage service and warranty issues from initial diagnosis through to resolution.

- Work closely with customers, technicians, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers.

- Maintain a high standard of safety, quality and customer service.

- Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records of work performed.

- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and electrical standards.

RequirementsKey Requirements

- Candidate Preference: Onshore candidates preferred. For offshore candidates, the client prefers candidates from the UK or Europe.

- Trade-qualified Electrician with a relevant electrical trade qualification.





- Current Australian electrical licence or equivalent recognised licence.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical experience.

- Robust experience in electrical fault finding, diagnostics, testing, servicing and repairs.

- Experience with commercial catering equipment is highly desirable.

- Good knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, controls, components and equipment.

- Experience working with commercial appliances, machinery or electrical equipment.

- Strong practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Customer-focused approach with confidence working at customer sites.

- Good organisational and time-management skills.

- Reliable, practical and safety-conscious approach to work.

- Current Australian driver's licence or equivalent.

Desirable

- Gas experience or relevant gas licence.

- Forklift experience or licence.

- Experience in servicing commercial kitchen or catering equipment.

Benefits

- Salary package of AUD $80,000 – $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
