This Campus Principal role is an opportunity to establish and lead a new school community that will change lives. As Campus Principal, you will play a pivotal role in bringing together the three pillars of a BUSY School education: Learning, Wellbeing and Career Pathways.

You will provide visionary leadership, build a positive and inclusive campus culture, inspire a high-performing team and create an environment where both students and staff thrive. Working closely with educators, wellbeing professionals, industry partners and families, you will ensure every student is supported on their individual journey towards completing their HSC and transitioning to further education or employment.

You will lead through a trauma-responsive approach, you will foster a culture that recognises potential, celebrates progress and empowers young people to re-engage with their education and future aspirations.

You bring strong leadership experience, excellent relationship-building skills and a commitment to supporting young people facing complex challenges. This is a full-time, permanent position available immediately, with a later commencement negotiable for the right candidate.

As we expand into New South Wales, we are seeking an inspiring and purpose-driven Campus Principal to lead the establishment of our new Gosford campus, opening in January 2027. This is a rare chance to shape a school culture from the ground up and make a lasting impact on the lives of young people who have disengaged from the mainstream schooling system.

About The BUSY School

The BUSY School is part of The BUSY Group, a not-for-profit organisation presenting nearly 50 years as a community partner providing employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, Inclusive Employment Support, and allied health services.

We are a growing independent Special Assistance School with 10 campuses across Queensland and New Zealand, providing an alternative program for Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education.

Each campus provides a supportive, safe learning environment and unique education model combining:

- Individualised education and wellbeing support
- Vocational Education and Training (VET)

- School-based apprenticeships and traineeships

Our team works alongside students to provide wrap around support that helps them complete their secondary schooling, achieve their goals and transition successfully into employment, further training or higher education.

What You'll Bring

- Current NSW teacher registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Proven leadership experience in education, with a strong commitment to supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve success.
- A genuine passion for transforming the lives of young people through education, wellbeing and opportunity.
- The ability to inspire, influence and lead others while fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Demonstrated success in identifying student learning needs and implementing strategies that drive engagement, growth and achievement.
- Strong knowledge of NSW senior secondary education requirements, with experience or interest in vocational education highly regarded.
- A student-centred and trauma-responsive approach, with a belief in the potential of every young person.
