ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer

SALARY - $110,000 - $130,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Sydney, NSW

My client provides specialist engineering solutions in the Water & Wastewater sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with relevant industry experience to join their team in Sydney on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

- At least 2 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineering position
- Experience designing treatment plants and related systems for Water or Wastewater projects
- Able to read and interpret P&IDs;
- Highly skilled with 3D CAD, ideally Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360 etc.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
- Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry




- Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

- Producing concept designs, detailed engineering drawings, layouts and technical documentation
- Assisting with the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure and treatment systems
- Working collaboratively with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams
- Providing technical engineering support across design
- Preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, reports and technical information
- Supporting construction, testing and commissioning activities where required
- Working within a team-oriented, growing engineering team on a variety of projects
