About the Role

Join our City Technical Services team and play a pivotal role in delivering a diverse portfolio of building, civil and community infrastructure projects that help shape the future of the Georges River area.

As Project Engineer, you will manage projects from concept and design through to procurement, construction and completion, ensuring successful delivery across scope, budget, quality and time objectives. Working closely with contractors, consultants, government agencies, community groups and internal stakeholders, you will help bring important community facilities and infrastructure projects to life.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects, building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering tangible outcomes for the community. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of projects that enhance public spaces, improve community assets and support Council's long-term vision.

What We Offer

- Permanent, Full-Time - 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $101,723.29 - $117,859.55 per annum plus 12% superannuation

The successful candidate will have

- Experience in the project management and delivery of building, civil and infrastructure projects, including knowledge of contemporary construction methodologies, procurement strategies and contract delivery models.
- Demonstrated experience in project budgeting, financial management, cost control and contract administration.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, community consultation and the management of relationships with government agencies, sporting organisations, consultants and contractors.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the preparation of reports, briefing notes, correspondence, funding submissions and presentations for senior management, Executive and Council.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993, Work Health and Safety legislation, and applicable Government policies, guidelines and technical requirements.
- Proven experience in project risk identification, assessment, mitigation and ongoing risk management within a construction and infrastructure environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation, contractor management, site safety obligations and safe work practices.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, tendering and the administration of construction contracts.
- Current Class C Driver License.
- Construction Induction White Card.
