Ventia is currently seeking an experienced Chef to join the team at our RAAF base in Tindal, Katherine NT. Join our team and play an important role in supporting our Defence personnel by delivering high quality hospitality services in a unique and rewarding environment.
Working Monday to Friday, offering $42.09 per hour!

Responsibilities include:
• Preventive management of food safety hazards through the systematic application of HACCP controls.
• Train all food production personnel in Ventia’s procedures relating to food preparation and presentation
• Build strong relationships with compliance team, ensuring productive management of Food Safety and HACCP
• Ensure all areas of the kitchen are clean, sanitised, well-maintained and presentable.
• Sign off on all cleaning schedules, and documentation relating to incoming goods, food holding units and temperature probes.
Requirements of the role:
• Australian recognised Certificate 4 Commercial Cookery qualification (Essential)
• A valid Australian Driving Licence & own transport (Essential)
• Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations.
• Strong planning and organisation skills and proven experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
