The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operations & Quality Supervisor to join a busy airport-based operation in Cairns.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be actively involved in the day-to-day operation, leading from the front and ensuring high standards of safety, quality, compliance, and customer service are maintained.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in aviation operations, airport services, ground handling, ramp and tarmac operations, air freight, logistics, or other fast-paced operational environments.

The role offers a mix of operational leadership, quality control, compliance oversight, and team management. You’ll work closely with the operational team to keep workflows running smoothly, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure standards are consistently achieved.

While the position generally operates Monday to Friday during business hours, some flexibility is required from time to time to support operational demands, flight schedules, and peak periods. This role is best suited to someone who enjoys being out in the operation, supporting their team, and taking ownership of outcomes in a dynamic airport environment.

Your Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience in aviation operations, airport services, ground handling, ramp operations, logistics,



transport, warehousing, or a similar operational environment
- Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, or coordinating teams
- Strong understanding of workplace safety, compliance, and operational procedures
- Ability to identify issues quickly and implement practical solutions
- Experience monitoring workflow, productivity, and quality standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing setting
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience within highly regulated environments will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, quality assurance is advantageous
- Current Driver’s Licence

This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Cairns,



working Monday to Friday. Applicants must be able to work from Cairns and have the legal right to work in Australia in a manner that allows them to meet the ongoing requirements of the position.
