About the role

The Manager, Arts Projects including DreamBIG Children's Festival works strategically and collaboratively to provide high level, state-wide leadership that ensures the provision of quality, timely educational and learning services for Preschool to Year 12 education sectors, leaders, educators and students in Arts projects and programs including DreamBIG Children's Festival.

The Manager is responsible for ensuring that the development of events, programs, resources and skilled learning by arts organisations and industry partners are aligned to the Australian Curriculum, SA Curriculum, the SACE and other curriculum priorities using the unique resources and expertise within the department and the arts industry, and also provides effective state-wide leadership to the department across all education sectors to support the effective implementation of the Arts curriculum and pedagogy.





The Manager will undertake high level liaison and negotiation with senior officers and officials within arts organisations and industry partners to ensure an appropriate fit between the providers’ objectives and the department’s goals for provision of consultation services with stakeholder groups to identify needs and respond strategically.

The Manager will also be required to provide high level leadership with the partner organisations ensuring coordination between their work and that of the department and ensure high quality and timely advice concerning the progress of partner events and programs is provided as required to the Minister, Chief Executive and Executive Director, Curriculum and Learning.

Qualifications

Essential: A tertiary qualification in education and current full teacher registration.

Desirable: Nill

Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care)



Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

STL3 $152,287 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)
