Lead Hydraulic Engineer – Melbourne

A well-established Melbourne Building Services consultancy is looking for an experienced Lead Hydraulic Engineer to join their team and take ownership of hydraulic engineering projects across a strong and growing pipeline.
This is a genuine leadership opportunity for a Hydraulic Engineer who wants to have responsibility for projects, clients and technical delivery while working within an experienced multidisciplinary Building Services environment.

About the Role

- Lead hydraulic engineering projects from concept through to completion
- Take technical ownership of hydraulic design, documentation and project delivery
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers
- Work across a diverse range of commercial, residential, institutional and major building projects
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, fire and other Building Services disciplines
- Liaise directly with clients, architects, builders and other project stakeholders
- Review designs and documentation to ensure quality, compliance and constructability
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the hydraulic team
- Sign off engineering documentation and take responsibility for technical delivery

About You





- Strong experience in Building Services hydraulic engineering
- Proven experience leading hydraulic projects from design through to delivery
- Strong technical knowledge across hydraulic services design and documentation
- Experience working across multidisciplinary Building Services projects
- Confident dealing directly with clients and project stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria (RPEV), or willing to undertake the RPEV registration process
- Must be eligible to obtain RPEV registration to undertake the required engineering sign-off responsibilities
