What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to our CIO, you'll lead Data and Analytics across both iSelect and Compare the Market. This is a rare chance to lead a function that's already well established, while still having significant scope to influence its next chapter. You'll be joining at a time when data, AI and analytics are becoming increasingly central to how we operate, giving you the opportunity to shape strategy, modernise platforms and bring current ideas to life with strong executive support behind you.

This is a broad and influential leadership role with the opportunity to elevate data from a business capability to a genuine strategic advantage. You’ll:

- Set the vision and direction for Data and Analytics, ensuring our capabilities support business priorities, growth ambitions and future opportunities.
- Lead high-performing teams across Data Governance, Data Engineering, Operations and Analytics, creating an environment where people can do their best work.
- Continue evolving our enterprise data platform, using Databricks and modern cloud technologies to build scalable, reliable and future-ready solutions.
- Drive our data transformation agenda, including platform maturity, self-service analytics and the modernisation of legacy environments.
- Deliver trusted reporting, insights and real-time analytics that help executives and business leaders make better, faster decisions.




- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to identify opportunities where data, AI, machine learning and automation can improve customer, commercial and operational outcomes.
- Champion a strong data culture by lifting data literacy, strengthening governance frameworks and making insights more accessible across the business.
- Ensure our data platforms and frameworks remain secure, reliable and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Keep an eye on emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to create meaningful business value and strengthen our competitive edge.

What Sets You Apart

- Extensive experience leading enterprise data and analytics functions
- Proven success delivering data strategy, transformation and modernisation programs
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms, ideally Databricks
- Strong expertise across data governance, data engineering, data architecture, data warehousing and real-time analytics
- Experience building self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- A track record of leveraging advanced analytics, AI, machine learning and emerging technologies to deliver business outcomes
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence executive stakeholders
- Experience operating within regulated environments with a focus on governance, risk and compliance
- A passion for developing high-performing teams and fostering a data-driven culture
