In this role you will conduct design of complex electrical systems and specialised equipment for vehicle integration and communication platforms.

Using Siemens NX, you'll create detailed 3D electrical models, harness layouts, cable routing solutions and supporting documentation that enable the successful manufacture, installation and maintenance of complex systems

Those with a hands-on approach to problem solving will be key players to the team and projects.

Candidates with direct experience working within the automotive or Defence industry are highly regarded.

Must be Australian Citizens with the ability to gain a Defence Security clearance.

Location: Moorabbin Airport, VIC (S.E suburbs)

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Working closely with the engineering and design team, you will produce accurate and clear electrical engineering designs through liaison with designers and managers in a timely manner that meets the design specification and budgetary targets.
- Develop 3D electrical CAD models, harness designs and cable routing solutions using Siemens NX.
- Create high-quality electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and manufacturing documentation.
- Support the integration of electrical systems into vehicles, platforms and specialist equipment.
- Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, technical data packs,



installation instructions and engineering change documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Support Defence projects where configuration control, traceability and technical compliance are critical.
- Create / modify 2D CAD drawings, 3D Parametric Solid Math & Surface Models in accordance with IDES requirements, standards and quality procedures.
- Define electrical engineering designs, with guidance from senior staff, ensuring compliance to customer and legal specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Liaise with stakeholders and engineers to understand and meet technical requirements.
- Provide engineering assessment input during internal and external design reviews.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree within Electrical/Automation/Mechatronics or electronics fields
- 4 - 8 years hands-on electrical design experience
- A team attitude and willing to help those around you in the workplace as needed
- Willingness to grow and develop
- 2D/3D modelling and drafting for wiring diagrams and CAD experience
- Experience with quality assurance, customer and supplier management and technical reporting and data input
- MUST be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance
