We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Executive Officer to join our Executive Team on a maternity leave contract. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal role providing high-level strategic and operational support and helping drive the priorities of the CEO and organisation.

Job Description
About the Opportunity
As Executive Officer, you will act as a trusted partner to the CEO, providing strategic support, sound judgement and proactive coordination across a broad range of organisational priorities.
This is a varied and influential role that sits at the heart of the CEO’s office. You will work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to coordinate priorities, support decision-making, progress strategic initiatives and ensure the effective operation of the CEO’s office.
You will also play a key role in CEO communications and engagement,
supporting everything from executive briefings and presentations through to staff forums, stakeholder engagement and strategic projects.
This opportunity would suit an experienced executive support professional who is looking to step beyond traditional administration and play a genuine role in supporting organisational leadership and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner and sounding board to the CEO, supporting priorities, decision-making and organisational alignment.
- Oversee the effective and seamless operation of the CEO’s office, proactively managing priorities, commitments and competing demands.
- Support alignment across the Executive Leadership Team through effective coordination, follow-up and accountability.
- Coordinate and deliver CEO-led communications, including Town Halls, staff briefings, presentations, speeches and key messaging.
- Manage correspondence, documentation and incoming communications requiring CEO visibility.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of CEO-led strategic initiatives and projects.
- Monitor progress against key priorities, identifying risks, opportunities and actions to support successful outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality discussion papers, briefings, presentations and other materials to support executive decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination and collaboration across the organisation.
- Support the CEO in managing key stakeholder relationships through effective preparation, communication and follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and workflows within the CEO’s office.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are an experienced executive support professional who understands what it takes to operate effectively in a senior leadership environment.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience supporting a CEO or Executive Leadership Team.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- An understanding of governance, executive-level decision-making and organisational operations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid critical thinking and judgement, with the ability to sense-check ideas and provide a considered perspective.
- The ability to anticipate needs, identify risks and proactively develop solutions.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders.
- A high level of discretion, professionalism and emotional intelligence.
- A genuine alignment with Kalyra’s values and purpose.
