The Role

We are seeking an experienced Forklift / Loader Operator to join a busy cotton operation in Wyndham, WA. This hands-on role is based across warehouse and yard environments, working as part of a team focused on safely and efficiently moving, storing and loading cotton bales and modules. You'll play an important role in keeping daily loading schedules and stock movements on track while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be the safe and efficient movement, storage and loading of cotton products. You'll work closely with warehouse team members, truck drivers and site supervisors to support smooth day-to-day operations.

- Operate forklifts and loaders to load, unload and move cotton bales and modules within the warehouse and yard
- Safely stack and store cotton bales in accordance with site storage plans and stack height limits
- Load and unload trucks and road trains, ensuring accurate bale counts and load documentation
- Complete pre-start and daily safety checks on forklifts and loader equipment, reporting faults promptly
- Maintain accurate stock movement records, including bale numbers and storage locations
- Keep warehouse and yard areas clean, organised and free from hazards
- Follow all site WHS procedures, including maintaining safe operating distances around plant, vehicles and pedestrians
- Work collaboratively with team members, truck drivers and supervisors to keep loading schedules on track
- Follow biosecurity requirements and site-specific cotton handling procedures

- $35.96 per hour + penalty rates
- Approximately 3-5 months of seasonal work
- 50 hours per week, providing consistent hours throughout the assignment

Your Skills & Experience

- Current Forklift Licence required
- Required previous forklift operating experience
- Loader operating experience highly regarded
- Experience in warehousing, agriculture, cotton, logistics or a similar environment advantageous
- Ability to safely load, unload, stack and move products in a busy operational environment
- Strong awareness of WHS requirements and safe plant operation
- Good attention to detail when completing stock records and load documentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with drivers, supervisors and other site personnel
- Reliable, safety-conscious approach with the ability to complete physically active duties
