Are you an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person looking to gain practical experience and build a career in construction?

MEGT's Painting Futures VI program provides First Nations people with hands-on experience, support and connections to help start a career in the construction industry.

Located in Brisbane's northern suburbs, this 18-week program combines practical experience, nationally recognised training and support from experienced supervisors and mentors.

About the Program

Throughout the 18-week program, participants will:

- Gain practical experience working across the Bric Housing property portfolio in Brisbane's northern suburbs
- Build valuable work readiness skills
- Work towards a nationally recognised CPC10120 Certificate I in Construction
- Receive First Aid and CPR training
- Obtain a White Card
- Obtain a Working at Heights certificate
- Receive support from experienced supervisors and mentors
- Get paid while you learn

Career Pathways

The Painting Futures VI program can provide pathways towards:

- Painting apprenticeship
- Construction apprenticeship
- Construction labourer
- Trades assistant

About the Training





You will work towards the CPC10120 Certificate I in Construction with MEGT's Registered Training Organisation partner, Everthought Education (Code 32438).

The qualification covers essential skills, workplace knowledge and safety practices required to work on construction sites.
