Forklift Drivers/Production Workers

Workforce Extensions Ballarat is currently looking for multiple reliable people to join an established food manufacturing business located around 30 minutes north west of Ballarat.

This is a hands on role where forklift driving will make up a big part of your day, along with some manual work and operating basic production and processing equipment.

The roster is an significant part of the role. You'll rotate through a week of day shift, afternoon shift and night shift, with weekend work also included.

The roster

Week 1: 7am to 3pm

Week 2: 3pm to 11pm

Week 3: 11pm to 7am

Then it starts again.

The roles offer full time hours for a minimum three month period, with the potential for ongoing work for the right people.

What you'll be doing

- Forklift driving and moving materials and finished product
- Loading and unloading
- Some manual handling and general production work
- Operating basic production and processing machinery
- Working as part of a production team
- Following safety and production procedures




- Keeping your work area clean and tidy

What we're looking for

- Current LF Forklift Licence and good forklift experience
- Previous experience in warehousing, manufacturing, production or a similar workplace
- Someone who is reliable and turns up ready to work
- Comfortable doing physical work and manual handling
- Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Good attitude towards safety
- Available to work the full rotating roster, including weekends

A few things you should know

This is a dusty working environment and the role can be physically demanding.

The shifts change each week, so this isn't a role where you'll be working the same shift all the time. You need to be genuinely comfortable working days, afternoons and nights.
