HPX Group is embarking on an important transformation of our People technology, with the implementation of Workday across our Group.
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on HRIS Project Manager to lead the implementation journey alongside our People, Innovation and Platform teams and implementation partner.
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage the project from a distance. We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, creating clarity from complexity, bringing people together and making things happen.
The opportunity
You’ll take a lead role in guiding the Workday implementation from planning through to launch and stabilisation, helping us build the foundations for a simpler, more connected and data-driven People experience across HPX Group.
You’ll work closely with a talented but lean People team who will bring the functional expertise and deep understanding of our business. Around them, you’ll partner with our Innovation and Platform teams, Data Scientist, implementation partners and stakeholders across the Group.
Your role will be to bring the structure, momentum and hands-on project leadership that turns all of that expertise into a successful implementation.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll own and drive the implementation plan, keeping workstreams, milestones, dependencies, risks and decisions moving.
You’ll coordinate across People, technology, data and our implementation partner, making sure everyone understands what is needed, by when, and where decisions need to be made.
You’ll get hands-on with the work — supporting requirements gathering, process mapping, data readiness and migration, testing, integrations, change planning, documentation, cutover and go-live activities.
You’ll help us identify issues early, work through them pragmatically and keep the project moving rather than allowing complexity to slow us down.
Importantly, you’ll build strong relationships across the business. Workday may be the technology we are implementing,
but we know the success of the project will ultimately depend on how well we bring people with us.
What we’re looking for
Ideally, you’ll have previously led or played a significant role in a Workday implementation. Experience implementing another enterprise HRIS or HCM platform would also be highly regarded.
More importantly, you’ll be someone who:
- Has strong end-to-end project management capability, ideally within HR technology or broader transformation.
- Is genuinely hands-on and comfortable moving between the project plan and the detail required to get something done.
- Is highly organised and can bring structure and clarity to multiple interconnected workstreams.
- Builds trusted relationships quickly and can work effectively with technical specialists, People SMEs, senior leaders and external partners.
- Is action-oriented, pragmatic and comfortable making progress in an environment where not everything will be perfectly defined from day one.
- Knows when to challenge, when to escalate and when to simply roll up their sleeves and solve the problem.
- Communicates clearly and can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Has experience with HR data, integrations, testing, process design, change or implementation readiness.
- Brings energy, curiosity and a genuine get-stuff-done mindset.
Why HPX Group?
You’ll be joining us at an exciting point in our evolution.
We’re ambitious about how we use technology, data and AI to make our businesses better, and this implementation is an important part of building the infrastructure we need for the future.
You’ll work with smart, committed people who care deeply about doing great work. We’re a lean team,
which means your contribution will be visible and meaningful — and you’ll have the opportunity to shape not only how Workday is implemented, but how we work differently as a result.
If you love turning complexity into action, building robust relationships and seeing a major transformation through from plan to reality, we’d love to hear from you.
What’s in it for you
- Be mentored in a supportive environment, with access to quality work, great clients and professional development opportunities.
- A fun, collaborative and high-performing team environment with regular social events, training days and team retreats.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- A clear and transparent performance bonus scheme.
- An extra week’s leave, as part of our employee personal development program.
- A day birthday leave.
- Support in building client relationships.
