About the Role:

We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our Timber Assistant/Work Crew. This is a great opportunity to develop practical workplace skills, gain experience across a range of hands-on tasks, and be part of a supportive team environment.

In this role, you’ll assist with a variety of activities including timber product manufacturing, lawn and garden maintenance, general labouring, commercial cleaning and property clean-ups. You’ll work under the supervision of a Vocational Support Worker while building skills, confidence and workplace experience.

This is a part-time position of 52 hours per fortnight.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break

Duties:

- General labouring and production support
- Assist with the manufacture of timber products, including pallets, crates, boxes and other timber products
- Sorting and packing timber products
- Undercoat painting, basic assembly, bundling, strapping and wrapping of products
- Operate hand tools and electric or battery-operated equipment
- Groundskeeping, lawn maintenance and basic gardening
- Re-potting, weeding, mulching and planting
- Commercial and residential lawn maintenance
- Property clean-ups, bulky goods collection and rubbish removal




- Office cleaning and general housekeeping
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Complete repetitive machine operation tasks as directed

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

- Currently receiving NDIS funding for employment related supports
- Currently receiving a Disability Support Pension
- Current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Eligible for a Supported Wage System (SWS) assessment through JobAccess
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work well in a team
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to manage own medication
- Willing and able to perform physical outdoor work

Desirable:

- Driver’s licence
- Experience in mowing and gardening maintenance
- Able to travel to work independently
- Forklift Licence
- Construction White Card
- ChemCert accreditation
- Current First Aid Certificate
