Psychologists (Multiple Roles): Adult, Geropsychology (working with older people), and/or Russian Speaking JewishCare | Sydney NSW Part-Time (2 to 4 days per week) | $120,000 to $130,000 salary range (pro rata)

Join the newly refurbished JewishCare psychology centre funded by the PHN.

We are seeking experienced psychologists with at least 5 years of experience working with complex client presentations, including trauma, complex mental health, suicidal ideation and domestic violence.

The established team is led by a Clinical Lead. Unlike private practice, the organisation manages all running costs, referrals and bookings, and offers both internal and external clinical supervision.

We welcome applications from registered psychologists who have 2 to 4 days per week available to join our team and provide psychological support to the Jewish community.

Available Positions

- Psychologist (x2): Providing trauma-informed psychological support to adults and older people.
- Psychologist, Russian Speaking (x1): Providing culturally and linguistically responsive support to Russian-speaking community members.

Working Arrangements

- Part-time, 2 to 4 days per week
- Flexible choice of working days, Monday to Friday
- Hours are 9am to 5pm
- Office-based work in Woollhara

About the Role

Our psychologists provide solution focused clinical intervention for individuals affected by the Bondi incident and other mental health challenges, using a range of trauma-informed modalities.

As a Psychologist, you will:

- Bring in-depth knowledge and experience in traumatic experiences, complex mental health, suicidal ideation and domestic violence
- Develop individualised treatment plans aligned with best-practice models
- Deliver evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT and other trauma-informed approaches
- Provide short- to medium-term therapeutic interventions




- Conduct risk and suicide/self-harm assessments and manage any associated risks
- Develop safety plans and crisis support strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with community stakeholders and referral services
- Support clients experiencing trauma reactions, grief, distress and disruption

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- At least 5 years of experience as a practising psychologist with adult clients presenting with complex mental health challenges
- Strong clinical assessment, formulation and therapeutic skills
- Demonstrated experience providing trauma-informed psychological support
- Experience working with individuals with complex mental health and psychosocial needs
- The ability to provide compassionate, accessible clinical guidance
- An understanding of community mental health systems and referral pathways
- Solid communication and engagement skills

For the Russian Speaking role: fluency in Russian and English, with an understanding of the cultural needs of Russian-speaking communities.

Mandatory Requirements

- AHPRA registration as a Psychologist
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Check completed or able to be actioned
