Immediate Start – Disability Support Worker (Casual) | Albury/Wodonga

Ready to make a real difference (and actually enjoy going to work)? Infinity Coordination & Supports is recruiting Disability Support Workers for an immediate start, with consistent shifts available across SIL, in-home supports, and community access in Albury/Wodonga.

The role

Disability Support Workers provide participant-centred supports that are secure, respectful, and aligned with individual support plans. Supports can include personal care, community access, medication support, and complex supports. The job also requires energy, encouragement, and a genuine human approach — supporting participants to engage in the things they enjoy and work toward their goals.

Shifts we are actively recruiting for

Coverage is required across all days (Mon–Sun), with priority shifts including:

Sleepover shifts: 6:00pm – 9:00am (inactive sleepover)

Day shifts: 7:00am – 3:00pm

Active overnights: 10:00pm – 7:00am

Typical expectation is 1 – 2 sleepovers per fortnight, with the option to pick up additional shifts for those wanting more hours.

What the work includes

- Participant-centred supports aligned with goals and individual plans
- Personal care and daily living supports
- Community access and skill-building supports
- Medication assistance/administration in SIL
- Manual handling and hoist transfers
- Clear, factual shift notes and communication with the wider team
- Implementation of Positive Behaviour Support strategies as directed

NDIS quality and safety expectations

Professional, rights-based practice is non-negotiable. Workers are expected to:

- Follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, including privacy, dignity, respect, and professional boundaries
- Follow incident escalation and reporting requirements and participate in incident management processes
- Where restrictive practices exist, only implement them as authorised and directed under relevant plans and governance processes




- Complete and maintain mandatory training, including the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (“Quality, Safety and You”)

Skills and experience (SCHADS Level 1–2)

Experience is valued, but attitude, reliability, and professionalism matter most. Strong candidates typically bring:

- A participant-first mindset and strong communication
- Confidence with documentation (clear, factual shift notes)
- Reliability and consistent ongoing availability
- Comfortable working in SIL environments and following BSP strategies
- Willingness to complete training and demonstrate competency before undertaking higher-risk tasks independently
- Mandatory requirements (before commencing induction)

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (“Quality, Safety and You”) – completed (or willing to complete prior to working unsupervised)
- Current driver licence and ability/willingness to drive as part of the role
- Company vehicles are available at times; when using a personal vehicle, kilometres are reimbursed and appropriate insurance is required.

Desirable (not essential)

- Cert III in Disability / Community Services / Nursing (or equivalent)
- First Aid/CPR
- SIL experience and/or exposure to complex supports
