We are seeking a passionate and collaborative Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Lockington Kindergarten in a fixed-term position from November 2026 until July 2027.

- 45 hours per fortnight

About the role

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will provide a high-quality educational program through collaboration, discussion and critical reflection with the Educational Leader, education team and co-educators.

You will build strong, respectful relationships with children and families and contribute to decision-making that supports each child’s learning, development and wellbeing.

Based at our Lockington Kindergarten, the role will work across a fortnightly roster:

- Week 1:



Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:15am – 3:45pm

- Week 2: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:15am – 3:45pm

In this role, you will:

- Develop and implement an educational program in line with Regulation 73 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

- Regularly meet with the Educational Leader to discuss, reflect on and develop the educational program.

- Support and guide educators in implementing the educational program.

- Develop collaborative relationships with colleagues to strengthen skills and continuously improve practice.

- Build meaningful partnerships with children, families and the wider community.

- Incorporate First Nations perspectives respectfully and meaningfully into your pedagogy and practice.

- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and reflective team culture.

About you

You are a qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about children’s learning and wellbeing and enjoys working collaboratively with others.

You will bring:

- An Early Childhood Teaching qualification approved by ACECQA.

- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration – Early Childhood.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (Level 2).

- Experience working within the early childhood education sector.

- A commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.





- Professionalism, flexibility and a collaborative approach.

- An understanding of and commitment to incorporating First Nations perspectives into early childhood pedagogy and practice.
