Depot Manager (Distribution) | Perthshire | Circa £40,000 to £42,000 + Profit Share

An established wholesale distribution business in Perthshire is looking for a Depot Manager to take full ownership of their warehouse and delivery operation.

The package is worth mentioning upfront. Alongside a salary of up to £42,000, there's an uncapped profit share scheme that could realistically add 20% to your earnings. The Depot Manager has more influence over site profitability than almost anyone else in the business, so this is a genuine incentive tied directly to how well you do the job.

You'll lead a team of around 12 people, including warehouse staff and drivers, and report directly to the Site Lead. This is a number two position in a business where local leadership genuinely matters.

The role has a specific set of requirements. If you can tick these off, it's worth reading on:

- O Licence compliance for a small vehicle fleet, including audits every six months and routine servicing
- Route planning across two internal vehicles,



with smart outsourcing decisions on remaining deliveries to balance courier costs against service standards
- Cross border import and export movements between Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland using the Trader Support Service (TSS)
- Full Health and Safety ownership, including annual audits and staff training
- On site equipment management, waste handling and recycling processes

Beyond the technical requirements, this is a role for someone who can run a tight operation without being told to. You'll need to:

- Lead from the floor, not just the office
- Control operational costs without cutting things that actually add value
- Manage courier relationships and hold them to service standards
- Keep warehouse standards consistent and compliant
- Develop a team that performs well without needing constant direction

The Site Lead is looking for someone who notices problems before they become bigger ones and fixes them without making a drama of it.
