About the Organisation
Join one of the Queensland Government's departments as they continue on a new project aimed at improving the lives of Queenslanders. This innovative and highly important department is looking to bring on a Project Manager for a 6 month contract to support their dynamic and fast-paced team.

About the Role
This is a 6 month contract role that has the high potential to extend. The day to day tasks of this role will involve:

- Provide key input into the scoping, planning and delivery of multiple government capital programs
- Monitor project scope, costs and progress against agreed budgets and delivery plans
- Manage site-based projects for key government customers, including Queensland Corrective Services and Youth Justice
- Effectively manage and engage internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership and governance committees
- Proactively identify project risks and blockers and implement strategies to mitigate these
- Prepare project proposals, reports and program updates as required
- Maintain accurate project information within business systems, including Ellipse




- Coordinate multiple project activities, resources and priorities to achieve successful program outcomes

About You
In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will:

- Demonstrated project management experience across capital works, construction, building or facilities
- Experience managing complex projects, contracts, budgets and delivery timeframes
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior and executive stakeholders
- Experience with project reporting, cashflow forecasting and enterprise systems; Ellipse highly regarded
- Experience delivering capital works or maintenance programs within government or correctional environments highly regarded
- Current C Class Driver Licence, ability to obtain Police clearance and travel to SEQ correctional sites at least three days per week
