RDO Equipment is looking for a Service Supervisor to join our Sydney branch. This role is completely off the tools and would suit a technically minded person who enjoys working with customers, supporting technicians and coordinating the day-to-day running of a busy service department.

You don’t necessarily need to already be an experienced Service Supervisor. If you have the technical knowledge, strong customer service skills and are ready to move into a leadership role, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflow management, and a safe, productive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing excellent customer service, seeking customer feedback, and offering advice to customers over the phone
- Monitoring and managing daily workshop workflow while ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards




- Assigning jobs to Service Technicians and supporting team members with performance, development, and day-to-day operational matters
- Scheduling and conducting in-house training for Service Technicians and apprentices
- Maintaining product knowledge and liaising with the Parts Department as required
- Assisting with the management and resolution of customer concerns and disputes in conjunction with the Service Manager
- Supporting the timely completion of warranty claims and work-in-progress (WIP) requirements
- Reviewing repair work before equipment is released to customers to ensure quality standards are met
- Driving a robust safety culture and leading by example within the workshop

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A strong mechanical or technical background
- A Mechanical Trade Certificate (preferred)
- Experience with diagnostics, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical repairs
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to support, guide and work with a team
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- A mature, logical and methodical approach to your work
- A current and valid driver’s licence
- High-risk work tickets and/or licences will be highly regarded
