Workshop Supervisor – Terrey Hills

We're looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at Terrey Hills Depot. If you're a hands-on leader with a heavy vehicle background and a passion for safety, quality workmanship, and developing people, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As Workshop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our depot workshop, ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant, and ready to deliver reliable services to our customers.

You'll lead and support a team of skilled technicians while driving workshop performance, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop workshop employees to achieve high performance and safety standards
- Plan and coordinate daily workshop activities and maintenance schedules
- Oversee servicing, repairs, defect rectification, and preventative maintenance programs
- Allocate work and manage job cards to ensure efficient workflow
- Monitor workshop productivity, quality standards, and key performance indicators
- Ensure maintenance records are accurate and completed in accordance with company requirements
- Manage workshop inventory, spare parts, and supplier relationships
- Coordinate responses to vehicle breakdowns and accident repairs
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture
- Ensure fleet compliance with NHVR, TfNSW,



and relevant legislative requirements
- Assist in managing workshop budgets and maintenance expenditure
- Work closely with depot operations teams to minimise vehicle downtime

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

- Previous experience supervising or leading teams within a heavy vehicle, bus, truck, or transport workshop environment
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair practices
- A proactive leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop others
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience using maintenance management or ERP systems
- The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced operational environment
- Flexibility to work a wide-ranging roster, including alternate weekends when required
