ROOF CARPENTER – WA TIMBER FRAME STICK ROOFING

CrewSELECT is looking for Roof Carpenters to join a residential roofing contractor with ongoing projects across Perth Metro. Experience building WA timber frame stick roofs is essential.

We’re keen to hear from both developing carpenters with around 1–2 years of relevant experience and seasoned roof carpenters who can take ownership of their work. There is also a pathway into a Supervisor or Team Lead role in the new year.

What’s on offer

- $50–$55/hr flat for candidates with around 1–2 years of relevant experience
- Up to $60/hr flat for highly experienced carpenters with 10+ years’ experience
- Permanent full-time employment with a consistent 40-hour week
- Overtime available
- All tooling provided
- Residential projects across Perth Metro
- Immediate start available
- Opportunity to progress into a Supervisor or Team Lead role, with a vehicle and quarterly bonuses attached to that position

The role

You’ll work on timber frame stick roofs for residential builds, from set-out through to completion.



Depending on your experience, your work will include:

- Setting out roof framing from plans and specifications
- Measuring, cutting and installing rafters, hips, valleys, battens and other framing components
- Checking levels, measurements and finished work for accuracy
- Working alongside the crew to meet construction schedules
- Maintaining safe, tidy worksites and a high standard of workmanship

What we’re looking for

- Hands-on WA stick roofing experience
- Ability to read and work from residential construction plans
- Experience with timber roof framing and confidence working at heights
- A current White Card
- A driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Good communication, reliability and pride in your work
