Master Kid Child Care Centre – Matraville NSW

Master Kid Child Care Centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a casual basis , with potential of permanent contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children during their crucial developmental years. Based in Matraville , you will be providing high-quality care, support and educational activities in a vibrant, inclusive childcare environment. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in fostering children's learning, development and wellbeing whilst creating a safe and nurturing space where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

- Supervising and caring for children in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and best practice standards
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that support children's cognitive, physical, emotional and social development
- Building positive relationships with children and families, ensuring open communication and regular feedback about each child's progress
- Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment, including playground supervision and hazard identification
- Assisting with meal times, toileting, and personal hygiene routines whilst promoting children's independence and self-care skills
- Observing and documenting children's learning and development, contributing to individual learning plans and developmental assessments
- Supporting children with diverse needs and backgrounds, fostering inclusion and celebrating diversity within the service




- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent approaches to behaviour guidance and positive strategies
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy, duty of care, child safe standards and safeguarding responsibilities
- Participating in professional development opportunities and contributing to team meetings and service improvements

What we're looking for

- A current Early Childhood qualification (such as a Diploma or Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care) recognised by ACECQA
- Current Working with Children Check (WWC)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of child development, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the National Quality Standards and Child Safety Standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children, families and colleagues
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and wellbeing
- Ability to remain calm, patient and responsive in a busy, dynamic environment
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, bending and active play with children
- A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting positive behaviour management
- Flexibility and reliability,



with the ability to adapt to a casual working arrangement
- Experience working in early childhood settings or equivalent childcare experience is highly valued
