Operations Manager, NDIS Disability Services
We are Personalised Care, an NDIS registered provider running Supported Independent Living homes across Sydney. We deliver SIL, Short Term Accommodation, Respite, and Capacity Building supports to participants across the region.
Our approach is simple. We build support around the person, not the other way around. Our team hires for heart, and we back that up with strong systems, consistent operations, and a leadership team that actually listens. We are growing steadily and thoughtfully, and we want the right person to help us grow well.
About the role
As Operations Manager, you will be the person who holds the day to day of our operations together and helps us scale without losing the culture that makes us who we are. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for the smooth running of our homes, the strength of our team, and the systems that support both.
This is a hands on role for someone who likes to be across the detail without micromanaging, who can hold a compliance conversation in the morning and a support worker debrief in the afternoon, and who is genuinely energised by seeing participants thrive.
What you will be doing
- Overseeing day to day operations across our eleven Sydney SIL homes
- Leading and supporting our House Managers and support worker teams
- Managing rostering, staffing decisions, and workforce planning at a portfolio level
- Owning our compliance and quality framework, including NDIS Practice Standards, audits, incident management, and continuous improvement
- Working closely with families, Support Coordinators, guardians, and allied health partners
- Contributing to strategy and growth decisions alongside the Director
- Building and refining systems that make the whole operation run better
- Being a steady presence for our team when things get complex
What you will bring
- Solid experience in an operations or senior management role in NDIS, disability, aged care, or a related community services setting
- Strong understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards, incident management, and compliance obligations
- Confident people leader who knows how to build and retain teams
- Excellent communication skills across staff, families, coordinators, and external stakeholders
- Comfortable with the systems and admin side of the role (rostering, plan management, reporting)
- A clean NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, First Aid, and current driver's licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior experience with SIL specifically, or head leasing arrangements
- Experience preparing for or supporting an NDIS audit
- Background in continuous improvement, systems, or quality frameworks
- Genuine curiosity about the disability sector rather than treating it as just another industry
Why work with us
- Real autonomy in the role, we trust you to run your part of the business
- A Director team that is genuinely accessible and easy to work with
- Growing organisation with room for the role to grow with it
- Values driven culture where the way we treat each other matters as much as the outcomes we deliver
- Competitive salary, phone allowance, and support for professional development
- Sydney based with flexibility around how and when the work gets done
- A team that turns up because they want to, not because they have to
