Managing a team of **7 direct reports**, you will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement of payroll processes to support a large and geographically dispersed workforce.This role is ideally suited to a seasoned payroll leader with strong SAP expertise, exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, and a passion for developing high-performing teams. **Key Responsibilities*** Lead, coach, and develop a team of payroll professionals.* Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across the organisation.* Maintain compliance with Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation requirements, awards, and enterprise agreements.* Drive payroll governance, risk management,



and audit compliance activities.* Lead payroll process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.* Act as the payroll subject matter expert for SAP Payroll and related system enhancements.* Partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, and operational leaders to improve payroll service delivery and employee experience.* Oversee payroll reporting, reconciliations, month-end activities, and statutory obligations.* Manage payroll-related projects, including legislative changes, system upgrades, and transformation initiatives.* Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business while fostering a culture of service excellence and accountability. **About You**You are an experienced payroll leader who thrives in a complex and fast-paced environment. You possess strong technical payroll knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes. **Essential Experience*** Significant experience managing end-to-end payroll operations within a large, complex organisation.* Demonstrated experience leading and developing payroll teams.* Strong hands-on experience with SAP Payroll is essential.* Extensive knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, awards, and enterprise agreements.* Experience driving payroll transformation, process improvements,
