We are seeking a dedicated Medical Administrator to join our dynamic team at Harbour Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This maternity leave contract is an integral part of our medical practice, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our administrative operations.
What you'll be doing
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, booking appointments, and managing patient records
- Handling medical billing and insurance claims processing
- Maintaining and updating the practice's electronic medical records system
- Coordinating the flow of information between medical staff, patients, and third-party providers
- Performing general administrative duties, such as data entry, filing, and inventory management
- Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the practice
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical administration or healthcare support role
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, medical staff, and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Proficiency in using medical practice management software and electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance processes
- A committed and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
