About Urban Escapade

Urban Escapade is Sydney’s newest premium escape room destination —

Chinatown and 1960s aviation thriller. We are passionate about creating

unforgettable, immersive experiences where guests disconnect from devices

and reconnect with each other.

The Role

As a Game Master, you are the face of Urban Escapade. You will guide

players through their experience, from warm welcome to thrilling finale.

You’ll manage the flow of games, monitor progress, provide timely hints,

and reset rooms with precision. This role blends customer service,

storytelling, and technical know-how.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver outstanding, welcoming customer service from check-in to farewell.
- Brief players clearly on rules, safety, and the story before each game.
- Monitor live games, adapt hints to ensure flow, and keep players
- Reset rooms to exact standards with speed and accuracy.
- Maintain props, puzzles, and set pieces; report and assist with
- Debrief players post-game and capture team photos for social media.
- Uphold confidentiality of game content to preserve the experience.
- Assist with reception duties: bookings, enquiries (phone/email),
- Support team operations including cleaning,



stock checks, and administration.
- Occasionally take on light performance/character roles to enhance immersion.

About You

We are seeking charismatic, reliable, and detail-oriented team members

who thrive in a dynamic environment.

- Solid communication and fluent English; confident public speaking.
- Outgoing, engaging personality with a passion for storytelling and hospitality.
- High attention to detail and ability to reset complex environments accurately.
- Problem-solving mindset, able to think quickly under pressure.
- Organised, punctual, and comfortable multitasking.
- Tech-savvy: confident with computers, AV equipment, and basic troubleshooting.
- Available nights, weekends, and peak times (public holidays).
- Must be 18+ and have valid work rights in Australia.

Highly regarded:

- Experience in theatre, performance, or hospitality.
- Knowledge of puzzles, games, or immersive entertainment.
- Additional languages and first aid.
