Graduate Software Engineer 2 year fixed term contract

Are you a recent software engineer graduate looking to build your technical expertise, and grow your career in a supportive and innovative environment? ISQ is looking for a graduate Software Engineer on a 2-year fixed term contract. In this role you will work on meaningful projects and play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting critical applications, integrations, and automation solutions that help independent schools across Queensland operate more effectively.

In this position you will:

Design, develop and enhance applications, integrations and automation solutions.

Gather business requirements and translate them into practical technical outcomes.

Support and maintain existing applications and systems, including Microsoft Dynamics (CRM, Event Management and Real-Time Marketing), Web Applications (Nodejs, Nextjs, PHP) and system automation.

Develop and consume APIs to integrate systems and improve data flows.

Monitor application performance and proactively identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and technology partners to deliver successful outcomes.

Contribute to technical projects through solution design, development, testing and deployment.

Provide technical guidance and user support while helping drive continuous improvement across ISQ's technology environment.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

A bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Microsoft certificates or equivalent practical expertise supporting Dynamics, Power Platform or Azure services.

2 years’ experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Apps and Power Automate.

1+ years' experience working within cloud-hosted environments,



preferably Microsoft Azure.

Experience supporting and integrating Learning Management Systems (LMS) (Moodle preferred).

Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.

Strong programming and software development fundamentals.

Understanding of database design, data modelling and application architecture.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, non-technical language.
