About the Role

Sequence Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator for a dedicated role based in Sydney. In this position, you will drive the estimating phase for upcoming high-value substation and high-voltage (HV) construction tenders. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced skilled to step into a high-impact role, applying specialist HV knowledge to major infrastructure projects.

The Scope of Work

- Analyze and interpret complex electrical design drawings, schematics, and construction methodologies for utility-scale projects.
- Develop comprehensive, highly accurate Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for substation and HV infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed, competitive tender submissions within strict project deadlines.
- Identify project risks, commercial opportunities, and cost-saving methodologies during the pre-construction phase.
- Liaise directly with suppliers, subcontractors, and engineering teams to source accurate pricing and materials data.

Your Profile & Expertise

- Technical Experience:



Demonstrated track record as an Electrical Estimator in the Australian infrastructure sector, with deep, hands-on expertise in substation and HV works.
- Commercial Acumen: Exceptional ability to extract commercial value and spot risks within technical specifications and tender documents.
- Location: Based in Sydney, NSW, with the capacity to collaborate closely with local project delivery teams.
- Tools: Advanced proficiency with industry-standard estimating software and Excel.
- Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills to negotiate pricing and present commercial strategies clearly.
