Zambrero is one of Australia's fastest-growing fresh Mexican QSR brands, known for bold flavours, fast service, and a "Plate 4 Plate" mission that has donated millions of meals to those in need. As the network continues to grow, we're looking for a passionate, hands-on Field Trainer to help drive consistency, capability, and culture across our restaurants.

The Role

The Field Trainer is a front-line, hands-on training role responsible for delivering high-quality onboarding, upskilling, and operational training across the Zambrero network. Based out of our Sydney Head Office, this role will spend significant time on the road and in-restaurant, working directly with franchise partners, restaurant managers, and team members to lift training standards, embed brand systems, and support new restaurant openings.

You'll be in stores, on the line, and in the kitchen, coaching teams in real time and setting the standard for what great Zambrero execution looks like.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver structured, hands-on training programs to new and existing team members across food safety, product knowledge, speed of service, and customer experience
- Support new restaurant openings with pre-launch training, opening-week floor support, and post-launch follow-up visits
- Conduct in-restaurant training audits and operational health checks, identifying gaps and coaching teams
- Partner with Restaurant Managers and Franchise Partners to build store-level training capability and succession pipelines
- Roll out new menu items, LTOs, systems, and process changes with clear, consistent in-field training




- Provide real-time coaching and feedback on the floor during peak trading periods
- Design targeted training interventions where needed
- Maintain accurate training records, completion tracking, and store visit reports
- Act as a brand ambassador by reinforcing culture, standards, and the Zambrero mission in every restaurant you visit
- Feed insights from the field back to the Training & Operations team to continuously improve training content and materials

Travel Requirements

- Based in Sydney
- Regular interstate and regional travel required to support the national store network (expect frequent multi-day trips)
- Flexibility to work wide-ranging hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, based on store trading patterns and opening schedules

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience in a QSR, hospitality, or retail training/operations role - multi-site experience highly regarded
- Hands-on operational background; comfortable working the line and leading by example, not just presenting from the front of a room
- Strong coaching and communication skills, with the ability to adapt training style to different learners and store environments
- High energy, resilience, and comfort with a role that's frequently on the move
- Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple store visits, timelines, and training priorities at once
- A genuine passion for food, people development, and brand standards
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively (including flights) is essential
