What you'll do

As the Senior Data Officer, you will deliver timely data services, including data linkage, data access and data provisioning, to internal and external Queensland Health stakeholders. You will develop, implement, evaluate and enhance data service capabilities, including data provisioning, integration and emerging technologies, while providing expert advice and consultancy on the extraction, linkage and interpretation of health and health-related data. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including government authorities, you will contribute to improving linked and non-linked data services to support evidence-based decision making and policy development. You will also provide project management services for Data Services Branch (DSB) data projects, ensuring the effective delivery of strategic data initiatives.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

- Ability to interrogate complex datasets and relational databases to provide information solutions (including linkage and reporting) that meet clients' needs.
- Ability to initiate, implement, manage, and complete complex data services projects.
- Ability to independently meet deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Competence in interpersonal skills, consultation and effective communication with personnel at all levels in the organisation, external organisations and professional groups.
