About the role
We are seeking a Senior Civil Site Supervisor to join our team at our Direk SA 5110 location. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial leadership role in the successful delivery of our civil engineering projects. As Senior Civil Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing teams, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This position is integral to our project success and directly impacts our ability to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise, coordinate and manage all on-site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
- Lead and manage site teams, including labourers, tradespeople and subcontractors, providing clear direction and support
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and toolbox talks to maintain a safe working environment
- Manage site schedules and ensure project deadlines are met whilst maintaining quality outcomes
- Inspect work in progress and completed work to verify adherence to specifications, drawings and industry standards
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports and safety documentation
- Liaise with project managers, clients,



engineers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Identify and address site issues promptly, implementing solutions that minimise delays and cost overruns
- Manage site resources, including equipment, materials and personnel, ensuring optimal utilisation
- Conduct inductions and training for recent site staff and ensure ongoing professional development of the team

What we’re looking for

- Minimum 10 years' experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreperson role
- Proven experience managing large-scale civil engineering projects, such as infrastructure, earthworks, or structural works
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including relevant codes of practice and risk management procedures
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams of varying sizes and skill levels
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and construction plans
- Experience with site documentation and record-keeping systems
- Competency in identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions
- Full driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
- Relevant Site Supervisor Experience, Construction Safety Certificate, or equivalent trade qualification are highly valued
