About the role

TRS Staffing is currently searching for an experienced Fabrication Yard Manager to support the development and execution of a major fabrication and module assembly strategy. Initially office-based in Adelaide, the position will involve periodic international travel to fabrication yards in China.

Duties and responsibilities

- Lead the development of the fabrication and module assembly strategy.
- Support the assessment and selection of suitable international fabrication yards.
- Provide fabrication and constructability input into engineering and module design.
- Develop fabrication sequencing and production strategies aligned with project schedules.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction,



quality and logistics teams.
- Support fabrication contracting, tender evaluations and contractor engagement activities.
- Oversee fabrication readiness, quality, productivity, progress and delivery planning.

Skills and experience required

- Extensive experience managing major fabrication yards, modular construction or large-scale industrial fabrication.
- Strong experience with structural, mechanical, piping and electrical module fabrication and assembly.
- Engineering, construction or related degree, or significant relevant fabrication and construction experience.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication planning, welding, QA/QC, inspection, testing and production requirements.
- International fabrication experience, particularly within China or the broader Asian market, is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to undertake regular international travel.
