We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join the team at Sonac Australia Pty Ltd in Maryborough, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs to keep our operations running efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of equipment and systems, contributing directly to the productivity and safety of our workplace.

What you'll be doing

Performing routine maintenance on equipment, machinery and building systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance

Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and operational faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques

Executing repairs and replacements of faulty components, following established maintenance procedures and safety protocols

Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs completed and spare parts used

Responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to minimise downtime

Conducting preventative maintenance checks and inspections on all equipment and systems

Liaising with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to operations

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Assisting with the installation of new equipment when required

Suggesting improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment performance

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role within an industrial or commercial environment

Strong mechanical knowledge and practical experience with machinery, equipment repair and general handyperson duties

Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment and maintenance technology





Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in maintenance work

Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions

Robust organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining records and following procedures

Excellent time management with the ability to work independently and prioritise multiple maintenance tasks

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

A current driver's licence

Relevant qualifications or certifications in maintenance, electrical re-connect/disconnect (Restricted Electrical Class 1) or mechanical engineering are preferred.
