We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Early Childhood Teacher to join our collaborative skilled learning community.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong understanding of contemporary Early Childhood Education and the ability to create engaging, inclusive and evidence-informed learning experiences. They will understand how young children learn and develop and be able to effectively integrate play-based learning, intentional teaching and explicit instruction.

Applications from early career teachers with appropriate Early Childhood qualifications are warmly encouraged.

Selection Criteria

- A strong commitment to the Catholic faith and mission of Catholic Education, with the capacity to contribute actively to the Catholic identity, Religious Education program and faith life of the school.
- Excellent knowledge and application of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and relevant curriculum requirements.
- Strong knowledge and application of contemporary, evidence-informed Early Childhood pedagogy, including play-based learning, intentional teaching and explicit teaching approaches.
- The ability to create engaging, inclusive and differentiated learning experiences and environments that respond to the diverse learning, developmental, social, emotional and behavioural needs of students.
- Experience identifying and implementing appropriate adjustments and targeted supports for students with disability and additional learning needs.
- Evidence of using assessment, observation and other relevant data to inform planning, monitor student progress and evaluate the impact of teaching.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues and contribute effectively to team planning and curriculum delivery.
- A commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional growth, with the capacity to take initiative and contribute positively to Early Childhood practice and broader school improvement.

Qualifications Required

- Appropriate Early Childhood Education qualification
- 4 Year Education Degree
- Accreditation to Teach requirements as specified by CEWA.
