General Manager, Operations & Commercial

CIMET is an Australian comparison platform covering energy, solar, broadband, mobile and health insurance. We power comparison and sales for our own brands and for partners, with operations teams in Australia, the Philippines and India.

About the role

This is a hands-on executional role. You will turn how we work with retailers into clear SOPs, then make sure those SOPs are followed every day across our teams in the Philippines and India.

You will also be the day-to-day commercial and operational contact for our retailers across all verticals. That means you know their obligations, performance and issues before they raise them.

You will report to the VP Operations. Your job is to make sure everything between the sale and a live retailer connection runs properly, meets compliance, and stays commercially sound.

What you will own

SOPs and execution

- Write, maintain and roll out SOPs for retailer onboarding, sales fulfilment, submissions and quality
- Make sure SOPs are followed by offshore teams, not just documented
- Lead change management when retailer rules, products or processes change
- Track adherence and fix gaps at the root cause

Sales fulfilment and quality

- Own the path from sale to successful retailer submission across all verticals
- Keep submission accuracy, rejection rates and turnaround within agreed standards
- Own quality assurance and compliance outcomes on sales against retailer and regulatory obligations
- Find and close revenue leakage between sale, submission and payment

Retailer relationships and commercials





- Build close working relationships with retailer operations and commercial contacts
- Own retailer obligations and performance, including SLAs, compliance undertakings and reporting
- Negotiate and manage the commercial terms of retailer agreements
- Run regular performance reviews with retailers and act on the outcomes

Working across CIMET

- Work with the Philippines Site Director so the contact centre sells to current retailer rules and SOPs
- Work with Product to turn retailer requirements and operational gaps into system changes
- Report on retailer performance, fulfilment quality and commercial outcomes to the VP Operations

What you will bring

- Operations experience in energy, telco or another regulated retail market in Australia
- A track record of writing SOPs and getting them executed by teams you don't directly manage
- Direct experience negotiating with retailers or suppliers
- Working knowledge of sales compliance obligations in energy and telco
- Experience working with offshore teams
- A solid eye for detail and comfort with operational data
- Someone who gets things done themselves, not just oversees them
- Willingness to travel to the Philippines and India
